Hi there! Welcome to the UMTG!We, the UMass Theatre Guild, are a volunteer organization run through the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
For over 100 years, we have made it our aim to provide a practical learning environment committed to facilitating completely student-run, theater-oriented experiences for UMass (and Five-College) students and community members. In fact, we are UMass Amherst's Oldest-surviving RSO (Registered Student Organization), founded in the year 1906! Each semester, we commit to putting up two full-scale productions - one play and one musical. We also supplement our season with various community events (ie. Coffeehouses, Banquets), workshops, and bi-weekly General Body Meetings. So whether you're interested in seeing a performance, becoming a part of our community, or just learning some more about our organization - WELCOME! We're so excited to have you! |
"Membership in UMTG shall be open to anyone in the Five-College area regardless of sex, creed, religion, race, sexual orientation or
physical or mental ability" |
